About the Blog

This blog is going live before it’s completely shovel ready. Truth be told, it’s barely out of the schematic design phase. Regardless, the notice to proceed has been issued, and site access has been granted — time for work to begin. With a little luck, this design-build venture will be beneficial for all. The owner’s program? A legal blog for North Carolina construction professionals to stay apprised of statutory, case law and other legal developments affecting owners, designers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, sureties, insurance carriers and other players in the industry. We’ll also try to keep you informed of significant developments at the federal, state and local levels that could impact construction activity within the State. Check back often for news and views you can (hopefully) use as you follow your own critical path. Or just visit periodically for a quick sticks & bricks legal fix.

This blog is for education purposes only, and is not associated with my law firm, Poyner Spruill, LLP.  The opinions of the blogger, and of any guest bloggers, do not necessarily reflect the opinions of others at Poyner Spruill.
